It's funny how sometimes our actions convey the exact opposite of what we are trying to imply. For example, my neighbors left their porch light on all weekend. They are obviously trying to imply that someone is home, but people would only leave that light on all day if they were out of town.
Similarly, a responsible home owner may set mousetraps in the garage, while a prospective home buyer may assume such preventative measures are indicative of a rodent problem.
